Oh What a Witness of God’s Glory

Oh What a Witness of God’s Glory

Dedicated to Annette Green

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego,
It is a story I’m sure you know.
Would not have chosen something so dire
To be cast into a furnace of blazing fire.

Through the darkest valleys of life
The promise to every believer;
The Lord, our God, with many angels
Are with you to comfort and deliver.

Oh what a witness of God’s glory.
Oh what a testimony of THEIR story.

Daniel, the prophet of dreams and visions,
Advising Kings leading to better decisions,
Would not have chosen this way to end
To be thrown into the lion’s den.

Through the darkest valleys of life
The promise to every believer;
The Lord, our God, with many angels
Are with you to comfort and deliver.

Oh what a witness of God’s glory.
Oh what a testimony of HIS story.

Jonah, a reluctant servant of God,
Stubborn, moody and deeply flawed,
Would not have chosen as his wish
To be swallowed alive by a great fish.

Through the darkest valleys of life
The promise to every believer;
The Lord, our God, with many angels
Are with you to comfort and deliver.

Oh what a witness of God’s glory.
Oh what a testimony of HIS story.

Would not have chosen our journey of life
Adversities, illness or traumatic strife.
We are witnesses of God’s glory.
Oh what a testimony of OUR story.

Through the darkest valleys of life
The promise to every believer;
The Lord, our God, with many angels
Are with us to comfort and deliver.

Oh what a witness of God’s glory.
Oh what a testimony of OUR story.

Oh what a witness of God’s glory.
Oh what a testimony of MY story.
