The Tides of Time

Hawaii 2002 by Steven A. Green
The Tides of Time
Brought together by the tides of time,
Our love a miracle so sublime,
From such expanse of time and space
Our souls unite in eternal embrace.

As improbable as two grains of sand
Washed ashore on a distant land,
Coming to rest after the tide
On a desolate beach side by side.

As amazing as two stars in the sky,
We don’t understand how or why,
Have somehow found their destination
Now completing a distant constellation.

Billions of people have given birth
Through the ages upon the earth.
The odds are so great that any two
Could come together as I have with you.

The only explanation for such heavenly love,
The will of our God who rules from above.
From such expanse of time and space
Our souls unite in eternal embrace.
