This is a song that was written for a play, “God’s Gift.” For more information you can read the prior post, “For Christmas We Want Toys.” “What Can a Kid Give to God” was written by Steven A. Green and the music was written and directed by Terry Hatfield.
As you read the words, you can click below to listen to the kids sing:
God has given so much to me. He gave His Son to set me free. That's why Jesus came to Earth And we celebrate His birth. God has given so much to me, A beautiful world and eyes to see; Pretty flowers and lots of fresh air, Joys and wonders everywhere. God has given so much to me, Maybe not wealth but healthy to be; Hands to feel and fold when I pray, Legs to run and jump and play. God has given so much to me, Eternal life through Calvary. From parents we get guidance and love; God and angels that watch from above. What can a kid give to God? I don't have much you see. What could I give to God? Maybe I'll just give Him me.
Steven A. Green
